The author was born in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria in 1987. He was raised by his father, a Barrister of the Nigerian legal system and his mother, a lecturer at the College of Education. He holds an undergraduate law degree and a Masters Degree in International Relations from the University of Essex.
In 2012 he returned to Nigeria to enrol and complete his National Youth Service in Nigeria. In 2014 he was called to the Nigerian Bar. Today he works as a Writer, Actor and Dancer, in London, United Kingdom. He is a member of South East London Writers as well as Transatlantic Writers; a group of writers from across the world that meet bi-weekly.
Through writing the E.L.Pepple explores the interior landscapes of those adversely affected by societal arrested development. His writing explores the socio-economic environments they inhabit and their lived experience.
In his debut album, Bound In Freedom he explores questions like; what combination of circumstances could make a mother love her child unconditionally, where trivialities pertaining to culture and expectation don’t corrupt said love? What happens to those who escape their social class? Is a ‘good life’ inevitable?
