Shipping & Returns
Everything you need to know about receiving your copy of Bound in Freedom, including delivery, cancellations and returns.
1. Pre-order dispatch
The paperback is expected to be published between 30 November and 6 December 2026. Orders are dispatched after the book is available, on the fulfilment schedule confirmed for that printing. Publication week is not a promised dispatch day.
A pre-order is not delivered inside the publication window unless the dispatch period and the carrier both allow it. If dispatch moves, we write to the email address on the order.
2. UK shipping
Delivery options for the United Kingdom, and the charge for each, are shown before you pay. The £19.96 book price does not include that charge unless checkout says the delivery is included.
Once a paperback is in our hands, we aim to dispatch UK orders within [DISPATCH TIME]. For a pre-order, that period starts when the book is ready to post, not on the day you pay.
3. International shipping
International delivery is intended. The destinations we can post to, and the charge for each, are the ones Stripe checkout shows before you pay. Those destinations will also be named here: [SHIPPING DESTINATIONS]. If a country is not offered at checkout, we cannot deliver there.
The time a parcel takes after it leaves us depends on the service and the destination. We do not publish a fixed international transit time.
You may have to pay import duty or local tax. Where the law requires that possibility to be clear before you buy, checkout will say so. Those charges are not included in the book price unless a line on the payment page collects them.
4. Tracking and delivery
If the service you choose provides tracking, we email the details to the address on the order. Some services do not provide tracking. A tracking number is not promised for every order.
Please give an address where the parcel can be received. If a carrier’s note says they tried and could not deliver, contact us and we will help you trace it. The book remains our responsibility until it is delivered.
5. Cancellations
You can cancel before dispatch. Write to us, quote the order, and say you want it cancelled. You do not need a reason. We confirm the cancellation and refund the price and any delivery charge.
After a physical book is delivered, you usually have 14 days to change your mind. The 14 days start on the day after delivery. Tell us within that period. You then have 14 days to post the book back. A pre-order has the same right once the book has been delivered. The full statement of these rights is in the Terms of Sale.
6. Returns
To return a book under the cancellation right:
- Write to [CONTACT EMAIL] with your name, the order email, and a statement that you are cancelling.
- Do this within 14 days of the day after delivery, or before dispatch if the book has not been sent.
- If the book has arrived, post it within 14 days of telling us. The returns address is [RETURNS ADDRESS]. If you are writing before that address is in use, wait for our reply before you post the parcel.
- Pack the book so it is protected. You may inspect it as you could in a shop. Handling beyond that, which reduces the value, can reduce the refund.
- For a change of mind, you pay the return postage, unless we agree to pay it. For a faulty or incorrect book, see the next section.
- We refund the book and the standard delivery charge within 14 days of receiving the book, or of receiving proof of postage, whichever is sooner.
7. Damaged, faulty or incorrect books
If a book arrives damaged, is faulty, or is not the book you ordered, write to us. Include the order details and, if you can, a photograph. Your statutory rights apply, including a refund, a replacement or a repair as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 provides. They are not limited to 14 days.
You should not have to pay the cost of returning a book that is faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrect, where the law requires the seller to bear that cost. We will tell you how to send it, or arrange collection, and we will cover the reasonable cost.
8. Lost or delayed orders
If an order is significantly late, or the tracking has stopped moving, write to us. Do not rely on the courier as your only route to a remedy. We are responsible for delivery until the book reaches you, and we will trace the parcel. If it is lost, we send a replacement or refund you.
“Significantly late” means later than the delivery expectation shown at checkout, or, if checkout gave no transit time, later than a reasonable period after we told you the book had been dispatched.
9. Contact
Delivery and returns questions go to [CONTACT EMAIL]. Include your name and the email address used for the order. There is a single customer-service address. The same route is on the contact page.
Questions
When will my pre-order arrive?
Publication is expected between 30 November and 6 December 2026. That is not a delivery date. We dispatch after the book is ready, within [DISPATCH TIME], and the carrier then delivers it. We will write if the schedule moves.
Do you ship internationally?
International shipping is intended. Checkout shows the destinations that can actually be selected. They will also be listed as [SHIPPING DESTINATIONS].
How much is shipping?
The delivery charge is shown before you pay. It is separate from the £19.96 book price unless checkout says delivery is included. We do not add a rate that checkout has not shown.
Can I cancel my pre-order?
Yes. Write to us before dispatch and we will cancel and refund the order. After the book arrives, the usual 14-day cancellation right for physical goods also applies.
What if my book arrives damaged?
Write to us with the order details. You can ask for a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where the law puts the return cost on the seller, you will not be asked to pay it.
